Privacy settings

The website is designed to make it easy for you to find and connect with others. For this reason the default privacy setting on your profile and the content that you add to the site is visible to everyone. You can control the visibility of everything you own on the website. Information set to “everyone” is publicly available information, just like your name, profile picture, and connections. Such information may, for example, be accessed by everyone on the Internet (including people not logged into Doenculture), be indexed by third party search engines, and be imported, exported, distributed, and redistributed by us and others without privacy limitations. Such information may also be associated with you, including your name and profile picture, even outside of Doenculture, such as on public search engines and when you visit other sites on the internet. If you are uncomfortable with sharing information with the whole community and others you can edit privacy settings of each thing by clicking the ‘edit’ button on the top of the page and then click on ‘visible to: everyone’. You will see a permissions menu that lets you control who can see, edit and add links to your content.
